Is it rude to NOT offer 2nd hand baby clothes to an expectant mother when you are a new mother yourself?

My best friends cousin who I happen to find is a TOTAL class A beeeeeeeeeeatch even before she was pregant, I work with her but she ignores me most days, she knows i have a 8 month old son and she is due in 3 months. She has been receiving 2nd hand clothes from people at work, I just decided to hold on to my babies clothes for now just because I dont care for this person at all. She is rude and bitchy with everyone even me!
She is probably expecting me to offer some to her and thats probably the reason she has been so rude to me lately (more than usual).

Am I wrong to not be nice to this piece of trash? (I really feel bad for her kid.. raised by trash)

No, hun, it is not rude at all to wanna hang on to those clothes right now! I know it probably sounds crazy, but I'm a little sentimental about my children's clothes. So when it comes time to hand them down, I only give them away to someone who is a good friend, who I know will make good use of them. I wouldn't give anything to someone who has been a snotty b**** to me. So there is NOTHING wrong with you not wanting to give away anything to her.

How do I politely handle this??? Donated baby clothes...?

I have a 4 month old baby girl and recently my co-worker who has a 5 year old daughter asked if I was open to recieving 2nd hand clothes ~ I said yes ~ I am no stranger to 2nd hand clothes and know how expensive babys and their neccessities can be and with this said recently she has been gjving me clothes almost every week. While I appreciate the generousity and thougthfulness of her thinking about me how do I politely tell her that I don't need all these clothes without seeming ungrateful!!

As an added note some of her clothes are for her daughters size and some of them are for boys (not neutral but for instance there is a pair of blue pjs with trucks on them) some of them are newborns (my baby is in the 3-6 months)

I don't want all these clothes I can't use piling up!! Pls Help

she should go through these things and just give you what you really need. Just tell her the clothes have really helped but right now your drawers are full. (make a little joke of it. If you can't then take them and give them to the salvation army. There are children ever where that really need them. There are salvation trucks every where, just call them and ask where the nearest one to you is. Put them in a large trash bag,tie it up and give them to someone who really needs them. Sounds like she is using you for her salvation army. Didn't mean that to be hateful. Babies grow out of things so fast, but little girls don't wear little boys sleepwear, unless that is all they have. You can do it ,just be nice about it. She should understand. Jk

Ok a few questions
DO you find it better to buy toys from the store or 2nd hand?
Do you get your toys at garage sales or off of craigslist and how do you sanitize them?
Also I don't just mean toys do you buy stuff for there room or clothes or anything?

Can the smell of smoke on clothes harm a child like 1st/2nd hand smoke?

My mother in law smokes and she baby sits my daughter. She smokes outside and I've pleaded w/ her to stop, but she hasn't. Will the smoke on her clothes harm my baby? She does not suffer from asthma, but I have allergies, which more likely, she'll develop from me.

Yes, it can. While it does not have the same effects as actual second hand smoke. If the child has hyperactive airways, it can definitely have those negative effects. It is terrible that people believe that if they go outside that it is ok...because it really is not. I have written articles saying how I believe that smoking around children should be considered child abuse... in my opinion that is.

Protect your daughter from something that may have her develop some negative lung issues in the future.

Choosing The Right Baby Changing Bag For Your Baby | Go-Go Mum!

If you plan on taking a baby out with you anywhere then you need to take a substantial amount of items and supplies with you too. A blanket, a toy, dummies, bottles, tissues, a change of clothes, spare nappies, wipes, and creams, being just some of the essentials that you need.

To carry these things you obviously need a bag of some kind, and there are plenty of bags around to suit the purpose, so many in fact that the choice can be overwhelming. So then, how can you be sure of getting a baby bag that completely meets your needs?

The bag should be fairly lightweight, since you will need to carry it around a lot, and all of a baby’s equipment will soon add pounds to it. Then, remember that you will be needing this bag for some time to come, so make sure the fabric is tough, and that the bag is sturdy and well-constructed.
