like wedding white , baby boy blue, girl pink ...
I think weddings are thought of as love and sweetness not darkness. I think boy for blue because people think its more Masculine and pink for girls because its Feminine.

For a dress for a wedding, especially if you're in the wedding, try RK Bridal on 318 W 39th Street. They especially do wedding dresses, brides maids and the mother of the bride. My wife swears by it. Other than that, I don't know, but you'll find better prices just about anywhere in the US besides NYC on both dresses and baby clothes.

My fiance and I are to wed the end of this year. All my future mother in law can talk about is HAVING A BABY! My fiance is a fourth generation in his family of men with the same name, so she wants a baby boy to take on the name as well... I already have a son from my first marriage but I had a lot of complications which put MY life at risk then and now. My doctor said if I were to have another child it could be deadly for me, and the baby - she knows this yet presses on about hurrying up to have babies. I'm 22... my fiance is 22... we have a 4 year old and its not good enough for her... we talked and agreed that if we do decide to TRY we'll do it under close doctor supervision... we've told her we dont want to really even try but she wont get off it. She buys clothes, toys... she keeps things from my son's early childhood for 'the new baby' like toys, blankets, etc...
What do I do? She keeps saying that God will take care of me when in child birth and wont let me die... and if I do it was his plan... but I really dont want to risk it! Obviously...
How can get my pesky mother-in-law to STOP the baby trip without out right being a b---- about it? (remember, I've tried being nice about it countless times - its getting irritating)
Look her in the eye and tell her to shut the ---- up! If you ask me one more time I'm gonna slap you so hard that you will have numbness in your toes for a month.

My friend is getting married in a month or so, I can't for the life of me find a dress anywhere that would be suitable and I also can't think of a good, original present to buy for them! They've been living together about 18 months and they had a baby boy last September, so if anyone can recommend anything at all dress/clothes-wise or any present ideas i would be very grateful. Thanks!
For the dress, the answer would depend on whether it's formal, semi-formal, casual-dress, or casual. Are you part of the bridal party? If so, then the bride would have the pick of dress. If not, then these rules should apply.
Usually, if it's semi-formal (the most common form of wedding), the dress should be tea-length or longer. No gloves. Not white (bride only) or black (connotates mourning). Lighter colors, typically, for spring/summer weddings. Darker colors for fall/winter weddings. Nothing too flashy and try not to go strapless since the bride should be the center of attention.
Try the big chain retailers for dresses. Or bridal shops. They both carry dresses for guests at weddings.
For a gift, appliances are still a hit with people who have lived together for a long time. Try an electric fry pan or wok. Since they're already a family, a great gift would be a collage picture frame. You know, the frames where you put several pictures in it. They used to be cheesy but now they have some great ones at Walmart that are several frames molded together.
Hope this helps.
My twins have been invited to be part of the ceremony at my brothers wedding. They still do not sit up, so we will need a stroller or some type of wagon to bring them down the aisle in. Any ideas??? Also, I want a white boy short suit and white dress for them. Any ideas as far as where I can get white clothes for the boy? I am having a really hard time with this! Thanks in advance!
I understand this is not a traditional idea- I understand that I am having a hard time because babies are typically not in weddings, but it is what it is, and they want all of the kids in the family included in some way. If you have seen any white casual nice clothes for a boy, please let me know where. I have decided to dress up a couple of single strollers and let the other kids push them down the aisle. Please refrain from any negative answers. They are very easy going, well behaved babies, and I would NEVER put them in harm's way or do anything to disturb the wedding flow. That is why I am doing the research to figure out the best way to do this! :-) Thanks for all of your answers!!!
You'll need a stroller if they don't sit up yet, you wouldn't want them falling out of a wagon. You can get your basic umbrella style stroller, and have it fixed up to go with the wedding decor (since the little duckies or whatever's on the seat cover probably won't match). ;-) Anyone who can sew reasonably well should be able to sew a new cover--or you can simply buy fabric, get out your glue gun, and glue it on.
Look for a christening suit for your son. You probably should be able to find something suitable at a nicer department store--like Macy's.
Good luck!

Patton Expecting Baby Boy
Thicke, 32, confirmed the baby’s sex to Essence.com.
And the singer admits he’s already thinking about the life lessons he’ll teach his first son: “Teaching him how to respect a woman. Teaching him music. Getting to play him (rapper) Biggie Smalls at some age, we’ll experience that together. That’s the beauty of having a child.”
Thicke recently revealed he and Patton had decided to name their child “Julian if it’s a boy, and Isabella if it’s a girl”.
