Colourful Baby Clothes

I'm expecting and thought I'd make some baby clothes, I have the patterns but not been able to source any suitable fabrics that I can buy in the UK as yet. I've mainly been looking on-line and in local fabric shops. I would like cotton interlock knit fabrics, that are colourful, patterned and a good price. If you know of any fabric shops that stock such fabric it would be great to hear from you, thanks.

if you have a local market, i find lots of unusual and good fabrics on the market stalls, also my local fabric shop order fabric remnants for me, if you ask any shop i am sure they would help. also i have had some brilliant fabrics off ebay.. good luck...

I'm having a baby girl in October and most of the clothes we've bought her are just pink, and I'm sick of all the pink!
I want to make her clothes a bit more hippie and colourful, and I'm thinking tie dying and painting on some basic patterns.
Anybody got any ideas of which patterns are 'hippie'??

I think that's a great idea for a style. WAY too many pink clothes out there.

If you're dying, I'd just make sure that the dye is a good one, not just for clothing, but how it will react to a baby's sensitive skin.

You could also use cloth that has patterns on it already. Hippie stuff is usually more paisley and lots of flowers, too.

If i had a baby she or he wud be full of colour :) coz bubys have bags of personality :D xx

my son is cool he as little hiwian shorts and a pink top.

hes got his shades on siting in the gaden at the moment.

We already made:a train, the Earth, pace sign, a basketball, a schoolbus, a present, a robot, a smiley face, an apple, the sun, a clock, a Rubik's cube, and dominos.Do you know of anything else?
