    I don't know about toys yet, but i agree that it really depends on the kid and how well you know their interests...

    but when it comes to clothing, girls are by far the easier. There is a much much wider selection and unless you are buying the more expensive brands, and I don't think kids need a 35 dollar outfit, sorry, boy clothing is seriously lacking. It's almost all cartoon graphic ts and soft shorts and camo outfits something I find hideous. Even the infant clothing for boys leaves a lot to be desired.
