Christian Infant Clothing

I will tell you what I have . I have a ton of great used clothing, and about 75% infants thru size 14, both sexes. I have videos, 75% are kids, used VHS, I have books, some brand new but only $1, 75% kids again. I have Christian books. I am actually selling everything for $1 but I'm not going to put that in the ad as I think it will deter the bargain hunters, but the stuff I have is great and I mean like Nike, disney and great stuff. my kids are grown and gone and I am emptying out the house. So a ton must go. Any suggestions on how to pull them in with the ad. I have done many, and know about setting up signs and all but I don't buy/shop garage sales so I don't know what to say to grab their attention best ? Put a notice on craigslist. It is free and more people will see it.

I don't believe there is such thing as a gay marriage and think we should give them the same privileges that comes with marriage but call it something else.

I think capitalism is the greatest antipoverty tool the world has ever seen and encourage the economy, not put outrageous taxes on it.

I don't believe humans are warming up the Earth but I think we need to clean up some of the messes we are making such as air quality.

I believe in a small federal government. I don't think the general public should even notice the federal government unless they visit their local military recruiter or post office.

Thank you Linda, I stand corrected. But a lot of people who call themselves Christian still say that baptizing infants is wrong.

going back to teh Acts of the Apostles, we see that Peter baptized ENTIRE HOUSEHOLDS. I think it is safge to assume that entire households included the children, even infants.

You are assuming that believe must come before baptism. That verse tells me that in order to be saved a person must do two things, believe and be baptized. For an infant, the baptism comes first, then later in life, he or she comes to believe.

You are incorrect. Baptism of infants occurred in Acts of the Apostles and was verified in the second century - look at the quotes I posted

The issue is not how the baptism is done. Yes, many catholics church now do immersion baptism, though pouring water over the head is just as valid.

Thank you for admitting that you are not sure that infants were excluded from baptism in the early church. What I have posted is evidence that infant baptism WAS practiced in the 2nd century of the Christian Church.

I wish you would stay on subject. Regarding purgatory, look at 1 Corinthians 3:14–15: "If the work which any man has built on the foundation survives, he will receive a reward. If any man’s work is burned up, he will suffer loss, though he himself will be saved, but only as through fire." You see, the Latinate word purgatory means a purgation or burning by fire. Paul in these verses refers to a purgation process whereby a man is saved even though his works are burned away. This is precisely what the Catholic Church teaches.

You might be catching on to what the catholic church teaches about Purgatory. What you just said is what the Catholic Church says about Purgatory. it is a place for the saved, not the unsaved.

I'll support ya. Origen was right, but only "partially" right because of so much other evidence that supports infant baptism. Credo baptists do as paedo-baptists do, everyone starts with an a priori belief and finds scripture to fill that belief. And so Origen gets his ad hominem attacks, and no mention is made of the credos' own sources, which are also man's interpretations. The Bible's authors have spoken their piece and left the building, and we are left with only what was written down. I simply believe Origen was closer to the tone and context of scripture.

Ok I was reading the Christian version of "The Secret" and after reading a few pages I got deeply disturbed about something. This author was saying that nothing is destined to happen and it is what we do that attracts good or bad stuff. That if you judge you'll be judge, if you are sweet people will be sweet to you, if you're mean and so on.

Well what about people who get murdered and raped? What about that woman who got raped and killed at red lobster?! How is that her fault?! How did she attract that predator? I highly doubt she was wearing revealing clothes! What about an infant who's victim to some perverted crime? What about a girl who's extremely modest(both physically and personality wise) goes on this date and gets raped because she doesn't know anything about sex and noone told her about what guys say and act when they want it?

That it's their fault?! Is this what this so called Christian is saying? more to come......

But one more thing. What if you fear getting raped or killed and you got raped and killed? Did you attract that? How?

This is what is being said. Take responsibility. That is it. You are the author of your destiny. According to the secret they are basically saying that everything that happens to you is your own fault, this I do not agree with completely. But I do think that if you follow the advice of the secret and act as if everything is your fault, essentially take responsibility, your entire life will change for the better.
