i need supplies for a child between the ages of 0-1 years old
i am doing a project for school and i need to find out how much it costs to raise a child from the day of birth to the time he/she turns 1 year old.

I'm looking for plain long sleeve onesies in size 18 months, and plain long-sleeve tops in size 4T, both for girls.
Everything I'm finding has lots of screen printing or characters, do you know of any good on-line sources?

Carter's sells 4 packs of plain white onsies, short and long sleeved. For whatever reason they tend to put them on the boy's side even though they could be used for either. They are usually pretty reasonable and Carter's always has coupons out there. Check their website for the most recent one.

I love ebay too. They have everything and you might get lucky with a really great deal.

I thought it was just a difference in how different brands present it but today I was buying sweatshirts for my son and they had the same exact shirts both by Hanes and some were labelled 24 M and others were labelled 2T. Is the 2T acually a bit larger?

2T are usually a little longer in the pants and the torso of the shirts.

24 mos is usually a little wider in the butt, because they assume those are for kids who still wear diapers.

Do anyone know where I can shop for cute Infant/Toddler clothing online? I already know of gymboree.com & thechildrensplace.com

I dont buy kids clothes online because the sizes run different for each company.. some companies have one size tagged as say a 4 when the other has it tagged as a 2.

I dont buy clothes online for anyone in my family without measurements on that piece.


With that being said you could always try ebay. I personally LOVE Old Navy and Gap because they are the only brands that fit my daughter. Shes very tall and very thin so most regular brands dont fit. Shes never fit into any gymboree clothes, they are always too wide for her.

I'm having my first yard sale soon and I'd like to group the clothes by size and just ask a flat price per item. If I charge $.25 a piece, I won't make much. but $1 a piece is too much. I think, sometimes, people charge a flat price for how ever much you can stuff into a lunch bag.

What do you think? What's a reasonable price per item or bag?

I've got everything from infant sizes (including socks and hats) to 24mos.

I always make a $.25 table, and put odds and ends on it that aren't in the best shape. For newer name brand outfits I usually put anywhere from $2-4 .....
Coats in good condition you can go up to$5-6 ..let people make offers.
It all depends on what shape the clothing is in ...I will spend more on a nice, newer item ....good luck !
