Baby Clothing Newborn

I am a few days shy of being 35 weeks pregnant and am trying to prepare the best that I can for my little man to arrive. I have been looking at the clothing that i got from my baby shower and was curious how long a baby is considered a newborn and what the difference is between newborn clothing and 0-3 month baby clothing.

Newborn usually means up to 8 Lbs. 0-3 months usually means up to 12 lbs. I found that length made more of a difference than weight, though. My daughter was 8lbs 5 oz, and newborn fit her for awhile.

I can't part with my daughter's newborn clothing. Is there a baby doll that would fit this size. Not preemie. Size newborn and 0-3.

Please give a star if you don't know I am looking for a baby doll big enough :)
I would prefer one that does not come with a bottle accessory!

I used to have a my buddy doll, but they make kid sisters. they're huge! my buddy (I named him andrew) was my size.

I'm pregnant with my first child (Girl) and I'm looking at different newborn baby clothing lines. Any tips or opinions on any newborn baby clothing lines (So far I like Gerber) PLEASE POST :-)

I like Carter's and their other brands that are sold at Target and Walmart. I think it's Just One Year and Child of Mine. The clothes are cute and comfy for newborn babies. I like the Gerber Onesies because the snaps are more toward the front instead of right between the legs. I just find them easier to snap up when changing the baby. I also like the Gerber sleepers, but like someone else said they do tend to run small. When my daughter was in 12 month clothes, she wore the 18 month sleepers, etc.

I live in a rural area and all we close that is close by to shop for baby is Target, Walmart, and Babies R Us so I tend to prefer to shop online and would love to hear some Websites you have shopped at before and trust.
I am looking to buy lots of girls newborn to 6 months warm footsie outfits since baby is coming in January it will be cold!

I am wondering if most new babies fit newborn and is there a big difference between 0-3 month clothing and newborn? I just want to buy basic clothing for the baby for now but wonder should I buy many newborn fitting clothing?

Newborn stuff will fit for the first 3-5weeks. There is a HUGE difference between NB size and 0-3 month size... My son wore NB stuff for a little over a month and then when we started putting the 0-3 on him everythign was HUGE until he was about 2.5 months old and then everythign started fitting him properly again.... My son is almost 4 months old and he still fits into SOME of his 0-3 month clothing... 3-6 month size is sort of baggy on him still but he can wear it. He is not a small baby either... he is what I'd call average. He was 7lbs 4oz at birth and he is now about 17lbs.... He wore preemie clothes for the first 2 weeks and they fit him perfectly...

You don't need a TON of newborn size stuff but you do need some of it... You need enough outifts for probably about 2 weeks in NB size (including sleepers)...

Oh and for everyone saying "don't buy much NB stuff b/c they only wear it for a month".... well a month is a really long time when you cant' find anything that fits your baby right... I could have used more NB stuff than I had if I had known how long a month would really be.
