Kids Newborn Clothes

Hello. I'm new here and I plan on investing into a bonds knitting machine. however before I do I wanted to know if I could knit zoe mellor nursery knits on the machine? i really love her patterns and I really want to make her stuff for my 2 yr old son and baby stuff for my newborn due in august. is it hard to knit her stuff on a knitting machine? can any tell what machine would be best to knit baby and kids clothes on?

I don't know the patterns that you mention so I can't help you there. However if you are going to buy a knitting machine for baby and kids clothes I would go for a standard guage machine (gauge is the width between the needles). I think this is 5 or 6mm and is the most common machine around. this will knit fine yarns and some 8 ply. If you plan to knit mostly in heavier yarns you will be better off with a bulky/chunky machine with a guage of about 9mm. If you are buying secondhand, find out if you can source parts before you buy as some machines have gone out of business. If you buy secondhand, you will need to replace the sponge retaining bar before you begin. Once you have your chosen machine, allow yourself time to get familiar with it before you try anything complicated or you may get frustrated and give up. Good luck and happy knitting.

im 7 months pregnant and i want to start washing some clothes,blankets and other things.well someone told me they had all for babies but i cant find it no where so what detergent should i use?like a few people that had kids said it should be unscented and sensitive but does it matter the brand or something help please.it my first pregnancy.

I use Dreft as a precaution, because I don't want my 2 month old breaking out with a rash or anything else unexpected, I also love the smell of dreft!

after i have had my baby shower,i still dont have any newborn size clothes, but i have lots of 0-3 mo clothes. should i get a couple newborn things?

i dont want to buy all kids of clothes that wont get used. if i should get some newborn size clothes, what should i get and how many?

I would buy a few but wait until your baby arrives to see what you really need. People kept telling me not to buy newborns because they barely wear them so I had mostly 0-3. Well, my daughter was only 6 lbs and is very long and skinny so when we brought her home we actually had to go buy newborn and preemie. (She was only 4 hours early also.)

Ok, I had my 7lb 8oz , 20 inch long baby girl. She is exactly what statistics say the average baby weighs in the US, yet baby gap, gymboree, kohls, and even Potterybarn kids baby wear swamp her in the newborn size. I am so disappointed. A beautiful new baby and nothing to dress her up in. Do I now have to go out and buy preemie size clothes? Is there some size I missed that is smaller than newborn?

my son was 7lbs 9oz and 20inches long(almost the same size...lol) and i had the same exact problem. i bought like 4 or 5 premie outfits and put them on him when we were goin out somewhere and when i was home i let him wear the clothes that were to big. dont worry they grow very quickly.CONGRATULATIONS
