Neutral Newborn Clothes

my dad's girlfriend or fiance (i don't know what she is to him anymore, all i know is that they are sill together), well july 26th she will find out if she is having a boy or a girl.

She hasn't really thrown up at all during this pregnancy, She also says her chest hurts all the time. She is starting to outgrown her clothing.



My mom, My dad's girlfriend, and i all say she is having a boy.

With my first i had such bad morning sickness I couldn't even get out of bed for anything moving made me want to puke my guts out it was absolutely horrible i cant even begin to explain it i was sick from beginning to end.. It was a girl (her birthday is July 26th she'll be a year that day!)

with my second (due November 5th) I haven't been sick at ALL.. its been such an easy and amazing pregnancy totally the opposite of my first so i assumed it was a boy.. on the 24th we found out that we are expecting girl #2

We've decided to wait until the birth rather than find out beforehand. I am struck at how difficult it is to find gender neutral newborn clothes! At this point I'm not even finding ugly yellow stuff!

Does this mean its the norm to find out the gender before birth?

Anyone else finding this an issue?

I am having an extremely difficult time finding clothes and bedding that are gender neutral! Everything cute is either pink or blue and if it IS yellow or green, it usually has something on it for a specific gender! I'm about ready to buy some white onesies and just paint them myself with fabric paint. At least I won't be disappointed lol.

I have a huge lot of 0-3 month boy/neutral clothes for sale, over 200 pieces. I don't know what to ask for it, I am also having trouble figuring out the shipping. I under estimate the size of the package. Is it best to take the items and get them priced for shipping at the store then list the item on ebay?

I need some tips and advice for selling. I sold newborn clothes, and severely under estimated the shipping.

pack them up, weigh them and measure the box. you can use an online shipping guide to tell you the price. I would start low on the price, remember the bidder control the price, unless you just set one price with buy-it-now. any more help feel free to contact me.

I went to BabieRUs today. I go there atleast once a week now lol. I like to go a look at all the baby stuff. Today I went and I was getting a prenatal pillow but ended up getting "gender neutral" newborn clothes. I don't know the sex of my baby yet but really wanted to get something for him/her. Have you ever done this or should I just have waited?

I think we all break down and end up buying something way before we really wanted to lol, its just a part of being a mom excited about baby, theres nothing wrong with it. i did the same thing with my first three i just dont have the money atm to do it with this one lol. Gas is to expensive now a days.

My husband really wants to be surprised. I would rather find out, but I wouldn't be able to keep it a secret from him :) The problem I have is that I was walking through the baby section today and realized there are NO gender-neutral baby clothes anymore! At first I thought we'd have to get everything in green, yellow and red, but colors aren't the problem - everything has either ruffles or a truck on it. So I'm worried if we really don't find out until the birth that we'll have to buy both boy and girl newborn clothes (even the onesies were definitely one or the other unless they were plain white!) and have to put off buying anything else until the baby is born. How did you handle it?
Plus I really don't want to have to do a lot of shopping with a newborn, and my husband cannot be trusted to pick out even his OWN clothes, lol.
I'm not having a shower since we live 2300 miles away from everyone we know right now. I think if we get anything from friends and family it will be in the form of a gift card.

Have a trusted friend or family member go with you both to the ultrasound. Let the tech know that you want it to be a suprise to both of you but for the tech to let your friend know. Shopping can be done for you and it can be kept a secret from you until your little bundle arrives. I am sure the person you choose would be one of the people to visit you at the hospital and could bring you a few outfits to try on your new one for pictures and the ride home. They can also let others know and quite a few things can be tucked away for you without letting you know the secret.
